Scottish Cup Tie moved to Monday evening.

A shocking decision has once again been foisted on to Celtic's huge travelling support with the Aberdeen cup tie being moved to Monday 25th February with an evening kick off.

Celtic Football Club should make a stand on this and refuse to take any match tickets. We've been getting messed around for years now by the men in the suits who claim to run our game. It's high time we started getting back at them. First it was Brockville and now because another team from across the city can't control their fans we are left to suffer the backlash.

United's mega £18M deal for Keane to ignore Celtic

Manchester United are set to offer skipper Roy Keane a massive four-year, £18 million deal to sign on at Old Trafford for life. The Sun reports that the contract will be worth £80,000-a-week and is £10,000-a-week more than what David Beckham has been offered.

Talks over the new deal will begin in March and United have made the re-signing of Keane a priority with Celtic regularly linked this season.

Milwall in for Wieghorst?

Mark McGhee is ready to offer Morten Wieghorst a World Cup incentive and a potential Premiership passport with an invitation to join Millwall on loan. The Celtic midfielder has played just two first-team games since recovering from the career-threatening Guillain-Barre Syndrome, scoring against Alloa in the Tennent's Scottish Cup at Brockville a fortnight ago.

Now, with Wieghorst itching to play more regular football at a better level than Under-21s, McGhee has initiated talks to take him to south London on a three-month arrangement.

Millwall, third in the Nationwide First Division, are determined not to let the chance of a multi-million pound promotion to the Premiership slip away for lack of playing cover.

As a result of some injuries, McGhee has identified 30-year-old Wieghorst as a possible recruit, and said: 'I would be interested in taking Morten on loan because he is a quality player and we will try to come to an agreement with Celtic.'

Martin O'Neill has said he would not be averse to some of his fringe players going out on loan and national manager Morten Olsen also indicated a World Cup place might not be fantasy football for the France 98 star - if he could get regular games.

Johan dismisses transfer talk.

"This story is total rubbish, I've been here for three-and-a-half years now, so why would I be unsettled now when the team is doing well and so am I?" he told the club's official website. "West Ham might be interested - I don't know - but I'm not even thinking about leaving. I'm very, very happy here in Scotland and have been all along, even when I wasn't playing and the team wasn't doing so well. "My family are settled, I have two kids happy at school, and I'm really enjoying my football. There is no reason for me to move."

RUMOUR MILL RUNNING

Johan Mjallby to West Ham for £3 million, someone on the Daily Ranger must be on drugs. The big Swede has been in tremendous form all season and despite what Davy Provan was muttering about when he mentioned that Amoruso at Rangers should be short listed for player of the season, well I thought the panto season was over. Johan Mjallby would be well ahead of Amoruso in the voting for player of the year.

Disaster looms as SPL decide to launch own TV channel.

With the SPL talks with SKY TV breaking down over a new contract, the news that the SPL plan to set up thier own channel and screen games looks like being a disaster for Old Firm fans. Once again it will be left to Celtic & Rangers to provide the majority of the games with a few token games thrown in not featuring one of the Old Firm. We will probably end up being messed about even more next season with regard to kick off times and the day's of the week when the matches will actually take place.

Today’s Daily Ranger is again running a story about Celtic’s Neil Lennon being involved in a scrap at a Glasgow night club last week.

It looks as though the Ranger is starting a campaign to force Lennon out of the door at Celtic Park.

Rafael extends Corinthians loan

Celtic's Rafael Scheidt has extended his loan deal with Brazilian side Corinthians until the end of the year.

The defender, who cost £5million, has been back in his own country since early last season.

Rafael signed for Celtic at the beginning of 2000 from Brazilian side Gremio during the managerial reign of John Barnes.

But he failed to establish himself in the first team and was quickly moved on by Barnes' successor Martin O'Neill.

The player had clocked up only two full appearances and two as substitute for the Hoops and still has two and a half years of his contract to run.

ALLOA V CELTIC (MATCH OFF)

The postponement of this match should come as no surprise and is a further embarrassment to the SFA following their initial decision to move the game from Alloa's Recreation Park to Brockville.

Both clubs wanted the tie moved to Fir Park rather than Falkirk's ground, which does not come up to SPL standards, but the SFA insisted that the game be played at the nearest ground to Alloa's within the same police authority.

The game is now scheduled to be played at Brockville this Tuesday, January 8 (kick-off 7.45pm). There will be a pitch inspection on Monday morning at 10am.
