Juventus had they chance to make the points safe when surprise surprise they were awarded a penalty kick in the last minute. Lady luck however deserted them on this occasion when substitute Marcelo Salas the Chilean internationalist blasted wide.

Juventus coach Marcello Lippi claimed that complacency among his players allowed Torino to come back from three goals down at the Stadio Delle Alpi on Sunday.

Juventus took an early three-goal lead thanks to a double strike from Alessandro Del Piero and another from Igor Tudor, but Torino hit back after the break to earn a 3-3 draw with goals from Christiano Lucarrelli, Marco Ferrante and Riccardo Maspero.

Lippi admitted that he finds the outcome difficult to believe, but insisted that his players only had themselves to blame. "They came out in the second half acting as if it was all over," he fumed.

ALL AWAY GAMES TO BE ON LIVE TV?

Reports this morning that all Celtic & Rangers away matches will be broadcast on live pay per view TV. The report suggests that a £75 season book may be available. This will surely lessen even further the amount of fans travelling to away games. This might not be a bad thing considering we were recently charged £24 into Easter Road and when we travel to Portugal on Wednesday night the price is just £13. Both Old Firm clubs have had their fans ripped off for years and it may now just be about to end, not before time.

Fifa block Old Firm switch

Fifa have blocked Rangers and Celtic's proposed move to the English Premiership.

Both Old Firm clubs have indicated that they would prefer to play football south of the border.

But Fifa vice-president David Will insists both Fifa and Uefa claim the game would "fall apart" if they allowed such plans to go ahead.

He said: "The Old Firm switch would not be permitted by Fifa or Uefa. In recent years there have been only two occasions where Fifa has given permission.

"A New Zealand club play in the Australian league and the two clubs in Liechtenstein are in the Swiss league.

"There is no professional set-up in these countries. Football would fall apart if Austrian clubs played in Italy, Dutch clubs in the Bundesliga."

Celtic linked with Bonnissel swoop

(FROM FOOTY MAD WEBSITE) Speculation in the French media has today suggested that the defender is on the verge of a move to Glasgow, with the Celtic boss eager to strengthen his side with an eye on the domestic and european rigours which will test his squad to the maximum this season.

Celtic have not ruled out the move, and a spokesperson confirmed that the Celtic manager is reluctant to fuel the speculation surrounding arrivals and departures at the SPL champions.

He said: "We have got no comment to make regarding signing targets because Martin O'Neill is refusing to comment on any players linked with the club, either coming in or going out.

"I'm afraid we cannot confirm or deny the story linking Celtic with this player."

Celtic are already familiar with Bonnissel's abilities after squaring up to him and his team-mates in the UEFA Cup last season, in the ill-fated clash which saw Henrik Larrson break his leg.

Tottenham boss Glenn Hoddle was said to be interested in a summer swoop for Bonnissel while Liverpool's Gerard Houllier was also reckoned to be interested in the player, with a figure of around £4million thought to be enough to seal his signature at that time.

If Celtic are to follow up their interest in the player they may already have a distinct advantage over their potential competitors as Celtic winger Didier Agathe was a team-mate of the defender during their time together at Montpellier.

They have remained close friends and were delighted to be reunited in the UEFA Cup - and would no doubt be only too pleased to join forces once again, this time with Celtic.

MESSAGE FROM N.A.F.C.S.C.

As President of the N.A.F.C.S.C. I am sure I speak for all our members when I say, We are glad to see that Celtic F.C. have acted quickly to identify and ban for life the moron who taunted Claudio Reyna with airplane actions at Sundays old firm game.

This person does in no way represent the average Celtic fan. We the North American Celtic Supporters are truly feeling the hurt today as we have been working hard to gather donations from all our clubs across North America for the families of the people who gave their lives so that others would live.

The tragic events of Sept 11th effected everyone but more so the people of New York and Washington. We have seven Celtic supporters clubs in the New York area and one in Washington and I am sure that everyone of their members will know someone who has been effected personally.

The actions of this one so called fan cannot overshadow the fact we the members of the 71 clubs who are members N.A.F.C.S.C. collected over $50,000 on Sunday to be donated to New York Police and Firefighters Widow and Children's benefit fund.

Celtic F.C. was started to help the people in their time of need and the N.A.F.C.S.C. are proud to keep this tradition, in the last 6 years our members have contributed over $250,000 to worthwhile causes. I think that this represents the average Celtic fan and not the moron whose actions the press have tarred us all with.

Jacky Meehan President For the executive and members of the N.A.F.C.S.C
